Little Victories Lead to Great Success
Don’t discount the small victories in your life because little victories lead to great success
.. by AK Gray
As usual you all know I like to begin with quotes, and today I have two. One is from the great Confucius, and Confucius say… “The man (woman) who moves a mountain begins by carrying away small stones.” And the 2nd is from Coach AK herself…yes that would be me… “Never discount or downplay your ability to overcome obstacles faced along your life’s path to purpose. Remember where you came from and understand that no matter how minor your accomplishments may seem to others, celebrate your personal achievements knowing they serve as steppingstones for even greater success, one victory at a time.”
Please Do Not snub your feats or achievements…even if you have people in your life that trivialize your endeavors. You; your life, is significant. Every victory you’ve accomplished, every obstacle that you have overcome speaks volumes about you. It doesn’t matter who may try to downplay your wins in life; you know what you had to do to go through to overcome the obstacles you were faced with and what it took to keep your sanity, your livelihood, or even your will to live.
All those little victories were the precursor and preparation, a sort of boot camp course that; if you survived, would land you a win, lessons learned, and next level access to your intended goal.
The things that we have accomplished or survived truly are an attestation of our ability to overcome anything deemed an obstacle or barrier to our intended objective.
The small victories are part of the contributory details that complement our future plans and (confirm) (give evidence) to, “Hey, if I came through that and still accomplished what I intended, then I can successfully steer my way through this as well.”
The small victories serve as guides, instructions, key points and lessons for us to use going forward because life doesn’t stop, it’s just something we have to experience, and navigate through enjoying every victory along the way.
Even our presumed failures serve a purpose in our future successes. They lead to our transformation. It just depends on how you look at them in retrospect.
For example, some people set out to accomplish something, then maybe end up failing at that goal, and simply throw in the towel after that. Presumably defeated, they never look back on the endeavor, stuck in fear at the remembrance of past failure. As a result of that fear, they let go of dreams that were very strongly desired.
The problem with that is that failure should not have been the end of the pursuit. Even in your own experience with a seemingly failed or failing situation due to adverse circumstances or situations, I encourage you NOT to focus on the outside circumstance or situation or fuel the narrative by giving it your negative or fearful emotional energy. Your goal, your purpose, your objective is constant. The adverse circumstance or situation is transitory, temporary, passing.
If we’ve tried and failed, then we consider trying again and something in life happens triggering anxious thoughts of past failures preventing us from getting started again can be very discouraging. May even cause us to lose desire in putting forth any further effort.
But what if we were actually on the edge of completion, transformation, and unimaginable success. What if we had the gumption, the tenacity, to look past the negative going on around and tried again. Just pushed through a little bit further, and found that victory was right on the other side…of the fear, anxiety, and that contrasting, temporary distraction?
There are so many stories of people who faced seemingly insurmountable problems; poverty, social stigmas, disabilities, rejections, denials, or repeatedly failed at their efforts. The difference is that they decided they would not give up. Their dream, desire or calling was just too much to let go. Sometimes you must want it so bad that accomplishment becomes your obsession. Even if your 1st attempt fails, you get right back up and try again not letting anything throw you off the course of completion.
I should not have to go into detail about all of the other great people that, in spite of contrasting situations, circumstances and obstacles faced along the way continued to move forward with their dreams and ideals only to achieve success in the persistence of their endeavors. Abraham Lincoln, Mahatma Ghandi, Martin Luther King, Thomas Edison, The Wright Brothers, Ford, Bill Gates, Maya Angelou, and many others. The remarkable thing is amidst their failures there were small victories along the way that encouraged more steps, steppingstones of purpose and vision. Every small step that resulted in a victory was their catalyst to continue and eventually gain huge victories that affected multitudes.
Perhaps your vision is not as grandiose, your reach not as broad, or maybe you’ve just fallen into a rut, a monotonous routine, feeling unfulfilled and desiring change. Let me tell you, you are made for more. You are here for purpose, and change is possible. You can transform your life. From failure and fear to completion and success. Every small victory, every dusting off of yourself, getting back up and trying again, every small victory is so powerful. You have no idea what effect your tenacity and follow-through has on your world. We are all co-contributors in this universal space no matter how small or large our sphere of influence. Your success is important. Your success is achievable. That is why you have been able to go through the things you have come through with small victories, big wins little wins, falling and getting back in the game…to prove that you CAN and to also be the proof for someone else that they CAN too. Experiencing failed events, or disappointment; that is NOT the end. It’s just a learning curve. Learn the lesson, find the solution and launch back into the deep, because just over the horizon, on the other side, is victory.
As I step into this new season of Transformational Coaching, I am rebuilding, rebranding, and leveling Up. It’s time to stop repeating stifling cycles or living small. It’s time for transformation. Expansion. Growth beyond circumstances, because we were made for more. It’s time to…. Just Get Elevated. You are welcome to join me on this journey. Keep Living Life Above Circumstances. Have a wonderful day Beautiful Human…you are an amazing creation.
